10 months and going to the park

Tyler at ten months old Sunday, January 19th was a fun one. We helped to host a baby shower for our friends Cam and Janelle who moved to Texas last summer. It was a blessing to be able to have shower for them. In addition to all of the fun with the baby shower, Tyler was able to ride the swings and go down the slide for the first time.

We also took him on the slide, although I think he liked the swings better!

The weather was perfect, the shower was fun, and we all had a great time. It was great seeing Cam and Janelle and spending time with them, but it was bittersweet. It is sad that we will not get to know their little one, but we are blessed to have known them and had them be a part of our lives. At least there are blogs and facebook and we can keep in touch this way. That and airplanes make travel so easy.

It is always amazing to me how babies can sleep anywhere, anytime. Above is my friend's gorgeous little girl-a miracle after being born prematurely. Below is Tyler. I love the way his little foot kicks up.

All in all, it was a great afternoon!
